Well it was a rough ride releasing this thing but the result is wonderful. This was my first game EVER doing graphics for someone else under their constraints. In fact, it was my first collaborative effort finishing a game from start to finish with anyone else. It was a real challenge doing sketches>concepts>final ideas>animation, etc. for my first time. Tyler's a smart guy so he pulled together all his skillz and thought up this platformer puzzle idea. He used his smarts to create awesome levels for me to make assets for and decorate once finished. I really enjoyed playing with the graphics in the engine. It was tough getting some detail into the art because of Flash's 'pixelization' but it turned out really cool.

So enjoy playing through all the levels. No matter how challenging they may seem, just think outside the box and you will succeed.

I decided to post about my return (even though most of the users nowadays probably don't know who I am...) since I haven't been regularly on Newgrounds for a long while.

Yeah so I didn't end up doing that battle movie in space starring Starogre from my previous post (from like a year ago?). I pretty much made the animatic, quit Flash for long time, and didn't go on newgrounds or have an internet life for awhile.

Now that I'm in college though, in a visual arts program, I have much more motivation to get stuff done.

I'm currently learning Maya and venturing into the 3d realm, as well as learning to do 2d sprites/spritesheets for games done WITHOUT Flash (wait, games can be made without Flash?!). And of course, getting back into good ol' Flash.

I can't decide whether doing game graphics or movie graphics is more fun to do later on in life. I will decide one day I guess.

And now that I think about it, I think I will save the Starogre action battle movie for a 3d project...hmm...

Ya, I haven't had much motivation lately to work on anything, but I started a new movie and now I really want to work on it because of the redesign launch!

It's another movie of Starogre and friends battling a robot in a city on the moon. It should be interesting once finished. Going to use a slightly different style than the rest of my movies, hopefully.

I may post screenshots when I get the chance, but for now all I have is an animatic/layout and notes of the whole movie. It will only be a couple minutes long, going along with a song found in the audio portal called "Cello Rampage".

It's gonna be sick.
