Well it was a rough ride releasing this thing but the result is wonderful. This was my first game EVER doing graphics for someone else under their constraints. In fact, it was my first collaborative effort finishing a game from start to finish with anyone else. It was a real challenge doing sketches>concepts>final ideas>animation, etc. for my first time. Tyler's a smart guy so he pulled together all his skillz and thought up this platformer puzzle idea. He used his smarts to create awesome levels for me to make assets for and decorate once finished. I really enjoyed playing with the graphics in the engine. It was tough getting some detail into the art because of Flash's 'pixelization' but it turned out really cool.

So enjoy playing through all the levels. No matter how challenging they may seem, just think outside the box and you will succeed.

Thanks to Tom for sponsoring us. It's a real pleasure. And thanks to Stamper, you are really cool for helping out with the title screen as well.

omg a trick! which one do i go to!!!!

both of them of course!

Love the style, I would have never guessed you made it.

Thanks dude! I know I can count on you for support :)

Yeah. I kinda went out of my usual for this. It's tough but it's cool being able to accomplish a different style without screwing up too bad :P

Thanks for replying to my review (or, if it was glaiel, you can ignore this message). I didn't understand that the black orb reacted to you being close by becoming darker... I think that that game mechanism should have been presented in a clearer fashion, maybe, in an earlier level. In any case, I'll once again say cheers and kudos for such a great game!

Yeah, thanks! That orb is actually in 2 previous levels. Levels 6 and 7 I believe? The one with the space invaders type design, and the three platforms with a key. Glad you like it.

I forgot to write this in your userpage (I left it glaiel's page), so here's my follow up comment to my previous one:

I've finished the game... yikes, what a tough game... so levels are clear cut easy, but some are immensly hard and level 25 is a particulary horrific level.

But, ironicly, I felt the ending of the game offered little closure for the player. Sure, we can infer that the person you're playing as has either awakened or died, but it would have been immensly satisfying if you could actually see reality or made more clear that you're dead. Quite simply, the rest of the story is pretty clear cut, but the ending isn't...

Still, I have to admit that I was a little harsh in my review. Although you could have made the mechanics a little more clearer (i.e., you needed a 'tutorial level' for the black orb) and the ending should really have been more clear cut / satisfying (rewarding the player for such a tough game), it deserves a solid ten.

Some levels are way too tough, yes, but also offer a a degree of originality so rarely seen... I'll make sure to vote for this game in the end of the month awards, you two have earned it!

Thank you so much for the love of our project!

Yeah, the ending is quite open ended and could have been more rewarding but the term 'closure' actually represents implications and thoughts the players make up in their mind. (ie. bringing closure to the open ended game in their own mind)

Nah. your review helped a lot. we need all the criticism we can get!

Thanks again for all your time and effort put into your advice!
