WOAH THIS GUY IS FAST!!

oh yeah i forgot to mention this wasn't sped up at all. my apm is ~2400

I hope you don't use that hand for whacking off ...

cuz you gonna EXPLODE!!!

that is gross and immature

woah, like all the variety of colors you used.

im tryin to learn to paint without doing all these 'color palettes and color schemes' and stuff. kinda want to be able to paint things with all sorts of odd colors and still make it work

If I did indeed in any way offend you, I apologize.

To comment solely on the art ... It's quite beautiful. And there's a wonderful contrast between the dark (almost negative space) aspects set against the more texture-color based aspects.

While your content varies in almost direct contrast from the Shadling, seeing real artists use digital tools to create paint-like art, especially in a straight shot, is always extremely impressive.

:)

thanks, yeah my goal is to paint stuff in color without worrying about values. i want to be able to paint in color without starting with a black/white base for shadows and highlights like a lot of people do nowadays. i don't want to get trapped in thinking that everything has to look realistic and true if turned grayscale. it's quick and cool to do sometimes but i really want to learn what colors i can throw down and just know they will look good together.

How's the process on Closure?

with Closure i use all black and white, no color. i just paint white on black most of the time in photoshop, with some minor bits of gray for graphical effect. it's good to break out the colors every once in awhile :P

edit: i may do some livestreams/recordings of working on closure sometime. don't know yet. i'm still getting used to setting the livestream all up and having people watch (if only a few), so with Closure i'd have to have more of a plan on what to draw/show since i usually have more stuff open while working on it.

I would watch it :(

Starogre likes this.

oh hey, it's this again, the actual stream of it was da best.

it always is, just too slow for some peoples' taste

Really beautiful use of color in this.

trying to figure out how something like this could be translated to a game. the colors all kinda blend together and fit together so well, it'd be hard to separate the foregrounds and backgrounds i think.
