pretty neat

verrrrry different from what i usuallly see...but very cool, enjoyed it...somewhat...

32.4 bucks...right on!

good work jack

this will be a big hit. however two things wrong i discovered with the word bubbles you'll need to fix-

first-you can hardly edit them without dragging it around. you have to actually double click on each word and change it. you shouldn't have to do that.

second-when you do change a word or two in the bubble. then drag the bubble around. it leaves behind garbage for some reason. (letters and specs from where you dragged it).

i know it's not my computer cuz i have 3ghz so i'm not sure how you'll fix that. but to fix the first problem, just make the outter edge of the bubble draggable. not the input text in the middle.

very good, not perfect, but good

everything is very well done, just keep up the good work and keep pumping them out! one challenging thing i thought was the way you moved around the earth, very well done! good jorb!

eh... its ok...

but it's messed up, and not properly thought out...

you need more kinds of enemies, the same ones over and over get boring, also, you gotta have levels of different backgrounds/enemies...

also, you shouldn't be moved back if u jump, and you shouldn't be able to control yourself as you die. i grabbed a life shroom several times right when i die, and don't lose a life. also, you shouldn't die after hitting a bird then water, you should die right when you hit the bird...not when you land...

fix those things and it'd be better, but it's not very exciting, however it is an original idea, just needs to be executed better.

Asvegren responds:

The "control yourself as you die" is, in my opinion, a nice twist to the game. Say you get real lucky and a few birds and piranhas are coming at you at once. There is nowhere to go and you die, inevitably. Fortunately, there is a mushroom coming right behind. You move Mario there and barely manage to catch it, but you do.

Isn't that a nice extra dimension to the game?

this is bad

put the music on stream, inside a movie clip, instead of event on the main timeline, your whistle levels don't have exact amounts on them (>.< i want my gold whistle), and you don't even know whistles yourself and how you can vote abusive on REVIEWS TOO.

INCLUDE EVERYTHING not just everything you know!

Casualty responds:

You got it COMPLETLY wrong:
-Music IS inside of movie clip and is fixed now
-Whislte levels don't HAVE exact amounts on NG!
-Look correctly: on the bottom of the whistle text is written:
"Note: ..."

So THINK, THINK, next time you review something things you're not sure about yourself.

Thanks for the review though.

whoa

nice engine so far! where did you learn how to do the tile based system/2d array? any sites to help me out? (any non complicated ones)

i loved it

i loved the music, and design of the tutorial, great job covering some things people don't know such as the easy fireworks program just about everyone with flash has! thanks for pointing out the blur in fireworks, i forgot it was there! (now i don't have to install photoshop just for one movie).

perfect

plain and simply perfect! i love how you did all the different weapons, and being a programmer myself, you've shown me up! especially with that pink laser weapon. That was my favorite! Thanks for the awesome experience and good luck with your next game!

THIS IS AWESOME!!!

I played for a half an hour! It was so fun! the characters have tons of secret moves and tons of stuff you can do with them... Just one thing...Make the walkinig faster. the rest was AMAZING! If you submit the full version i'll add to my favorites!

very good

i love the style of the dream the kid was having!
the controls were easy, and the gameplay was fun! I loved the "AI" and the different kinds/attacks of the enemies!
good job!

gavD responds:

Nice one Starogre! Glad you enjoyed it!

It was a major headache to implement the customisable controls, but I'm glad I did!

I make my observations into something you can observe.
